For children 10 and under, a parent needs to come to lessons and be the home practice partner. But please don't worry if you have no musical experience! No experience is necessary, and it will not hurt your child's progress if you have zero musical experience. You are there to help you child follow up on Tamara's assignments and don't need musical experience to do this well. 

Lessons are 30, 45, or 60 minute long depending on age and skill level of the student. 

The length of practice depends on the age and skill level of a child. A 4-year-old beginner may only practice 10 minutes a day. A 16-year-old advanced student may practice 1 - 2 hours per day depending on their goals. Tamara asks students to set aside each day a practice time that is the length of their lesson.

Tamara is skilled in teaching beginners and advanced students of all ages. Past students have started at age 4 and have studied with Tamara until they left for college.
